Someone please help me! driving myself crazy!?

right ok ive liked this guy for like a month now and i mean really like him lol he is sending me mixed signals and i dont know whether to just give up! he seemed to like me at the start we was texting alot and he comes out with me on the weekends (not just us 2 my friends and his friends are there 2!) but now it always seems to be me that is doing the chasing i am always texting him first and phoning him first he never seems to bother unless i do! he will talk on the phone to me for hours just about random things and we have really nice conversations and flirts with me and stuff but it never seems to lead anywhere ive dropped hints and all sorts and he knows that i really like him i just feel like i am starting to annoy him now by me always being the first to start conversations and i said the other day do you mind me phoning you and he keeps saying he doesn't mind he never gives me straight answers i dont know whether he is just being nice and im getting the rong end of the stick! i have tried asking him straight if he does like me and he just avoids the question really dont know what to do cause if he doesn't like me id rather him tell me so i can move on but he wont! any suggestions on what to do
