Is this car a good deal?

2000 Subaru Outback with just under 260,000 miles; well taken care of-new head gasket, water pump, hand shaft, rotors and timing belt for $4300. I originally wanted a Ford Taurus with about 110,000 miles, but I can't find it in my price range. I've heard Subarus will run longer than a Taurus if well taken care of. How much more life does the Subaru described above have? Is it a good deal? Is it a better deal than buying a Taurus with mileage on the 100k's?
