Would a 2001 Subaru Outback with 45,000 miles reliable?

The Subaru's boxer motor is notorious for leaky head gaskets. The heads are horizontal, on opposing sides and replacing them means replacing both and this equates to a costly repair bill. Other than that, the car is ultra reliable so I say go for it!
